Thu, 10th October 2024, marks the World Mental Health Day. This international day for mental health awareness and education is a call for action to
support mental health and eliminate stigma
surrounding it. Mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, affect people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Yet, many individuals struggle in silence due to the stigma attached to mental health issues.

On this day, we come together as a global community to raise awareness about mental health and to promote actions that can help improve the lives of people living with mental health issues. The theme for

“. This theme encourages everyone to take actions that can make a difference in their own lives, the lives of others, and communities.
Actions you can take on World Mental Health Day 2024:
- Start a conversation about mental health. Share your story or listen to someone else’s.
- Reach out to someone who may be struggling and offer your support.
- Educate yourself about mental health issues and learn ways to support others.
- Take care of your own mental health. Practice self-care activities, such as meditation, yoga, or journaling.
- Join or volunteer for organizations that work to support mental health and eliminate stigma.
